These are random, mixed Some of the Unreleased recordings are just John & a guitar or piano, the intial creation session (as with Saint & Sinner, for example,) others have crude, rough arrangements (One of Two, for example,) while some are quite tight.

The cover tunes are all VERY crude, often just a one or two-pass recording, certainly not intended for release. You'll just have to have a listen and enjoy sifting through them.

The new stuff gives you a chance to hear the creative process, how songs sound before they get practiced, polished and packaged.

These are all CD quality or high bitrate MP3 files, and so they will take time to download.

Why I Left You
A humorous country-style jab at relationships and the blame game. John wrote the lyrics and this basic arrangement you're hearing all at the same time. You get to hear it here first! Enjoy!

* The Threadbare Dreams album was recorded at Tracks Studio in Los Angeles, except for Room To Grow, which was recorded and engineered by JT in a DA-88-based project studio in Malibu while acting as engineer/arranger/performer for a couple of tunes ("Si-La-La" and "Ha Tonyalay" (spelling?)) by an African artist produced by Achille Robin which was released to acclaim in France circa 1995.

** Angel from Montgomery is a Bryan Bowers song.

*** A Pirate Looks at Forty is a Jimmy Buffett song.

**** Helplessly Hoping is a Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young song.
